1,200km, 40 riders, 10 inch wheels, 3 days........ 1 AWESOME time
IT'S POSTPONED :-(
Due to the crazy world we find ourselves in right now, the eighth instalment of The Australian Classic Scooter Mille will now be held in 2021, immediately prior to the 2021 Australian National Classic Scooter Rally.
The following is what we had planned, and expect things to remain pretty much the same in 2021...
The course will we'll start in Devonport (where the ferry docks) then do two nights in a yet-to-be-decided location, and return to Devonport on day three. That's all we know right now. More to come.
This event will be challenging in nature, and is not a leisurely tour by any stretch of the imagination. It is seen as a reliability trial and not a race. Points will be awarded along the way, to determine an overall winner.
The usual three trophies awarded: the main one is for finishing closest to the nominated time 'Winner on Handicap'; there's one for 'Best and Fairest'; and the third one is for 'Most Spectacular Breakdown'.
In 2019 we introduced a new award related to the photographic tasks along the route and we're doing it again in 2021.
Tasmania, so photogenic.
Please read the Rules page before applying for a position on the starting line.
