The Schedule:
The Mille isn't just about riding - there are other bits too! Here's an overview of how the whole event runs:
Rider meet & greet: this is held the evening before the first ride day in a venue where you can grab some dinner if you want. As well as getting to know everyone, we go through expected conditions on the route, weather forecast etc. and hand out t-shirts, legshield banners and the task lists for the event. Attendance is compulsory for both riders and back-up vehicle drivers.
Rider briefings: held each morning before we set off for the day's ride. We go through any last-minute route changes or other pertinent information. Attendance is compulsory for riders.
Trophy presentations: we organise an event, generally a lunch, the day after the riding finishes, where we can relax and chat and hand out the trophies. Attendance isn't compulsory, but we do encourage everyone to come along. It's a nice way to finish after a tough couple of days' riding.
Meals and accommodation: these aren't part of the event ticket price, so it's up to participants to arrange these themselves. Where a location is really small, we might organise for a cafe to open early so that you can grab some breakfast for example. We'll let participants know if we do this.
